What a containerised unit is
A containerised unit is equipment built into a standard shipping container and fitted out before it ships. It moves by sea and road like any other container, then is set down on a prepared base. That suits Namibian sites far from a grid connection or a water main.

Who carries out the technical work?
A partner firm with the expertise for that project. Palmera arranges the project in Namibia and stays involved from the first requirement to completion.
We will tell you who the partner is before you commit to anything.
What does a site need before a unit arrives?
Usually a level, compacted base, road access for a truck, and a crane or other plant to offload it. The exact requirement depends on the unit, so confirm it before groundworks start.
Who imports the unit?
Tell us in your enquiry whether you need a Namibian importer of record, and which Incoterms you expect. We will confirm what we can take on for that project. Port and customs basics are on our Logistics & Freight page.
Do you work outside Namibia?
We are based in Windhoek and serve Namibia, with the aim of also working in the surrounding Southern African region. Tell us where your site is.
What should a first enquiry include?
